Northwestern California Rural and Tribal Behavioral Health Stipend Program
MSW students in their final year of the graduate program are eligible to apply for the Northwestern California Rural and Tribal Behavioral Health Stipend Program. This four year training grant through the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) expands the number of professionals working with persons in high need and high demand rural, vulnerable, and medically-underserved communities by providing team-based primary/behavioral health care training and rural/Tribal experiential training placement opportunities.
- $10,000 stipend in the final year of the MSW program
- Internship position in an integrated behavioral health setting
- “Integrated behavioral health” means an organization that provides both primary medical care and behavioral health care, such as community clinics and health centers
- Specialized training and monthly Integrated Behavioral Health seminar
