This program will increase the number of substance use disorder counselors with advanced certification in California’s outlier, rural, frontier, and Tribal communities. BASW students who have already completed SUD training, registration, and/or certification are invited to apply. Applications will be completed in the spring semester of a student’s junior year. In their senior year, students who are accepted into the program will receive a $20,000 educational stipend, comprehensive education, job experience, and support for certification as a CADC-III, CATC III, or SUDCC III.
