School-Based Mental Health Stipend Program

Advanced Year students who have been accepted to the Humboldt Social Work Program are eligible to apply for the School-Based Mental Health Stipend Program. This program is a collaboration between Del Norte Unified School District and Eureka City Schools Districts, and the HSU Social Work Department's PPSC-SSW Program. These stipends are for students committed to a career in school-based social work and will support student preparation to complete post-graduate Pupil Personnel Services -School Social Work Credential program. 

 

  • $10,000 stipend for accepted applicants

  • Internship positions in Humboldt and Del Norte Schools

  • Require ability to pass CA Certificate of Clearance process

  • Supervision and support to prepare for PPSC-SSW requirements

  • Participation in additional School Mental Health Seminar (SW 680)

  • Opportunity to apply for additional $3,000 scholarship towards Humboldt PPSC post-graduate program
