Here is the Humboldt Department of Social Work Fall eNewsletter!

Dear Humboldt Social Work Community,

My name is Marissa O’Neill and I would like to say hello as this Fall’s newly appointed Department Chair.  On behalf of the Social Work Department at Humboldt, I extend a warm thank you to Ronnie Swartz for his role as Department Chair the past 9 years.  Ronnie’s wisdom, thoughtfulness, organization and dedication to the Department as Chair has been greatly valued and appreciated.   He reminds us all he is not going anywhere as he is still one of our Social Work Professors.  Again, thank you Ronnie for all you have done for the Department.

We are excited to be partnering with the College of Extended Education and Global Engagement to introduce our new Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) beginning Summer 2019.  The PPSC is a post-MSW credential for those wanting to work as school social workers.  The program includes two summer online courses.  For more information, contact our PPSC Coordinator, Julie Slater North, jns34@humboldt.edu.
